Two Eagles followed me …

For me Sundays are a time for pleasant journeys, relaxing moments, and spiritual quests. Specifically, it’s the day I jump on my bike and go for a long ride. On many occasions my bicycle rides have worked out to be quite an adventure, however today it was truly a spiritual quest.

As I rode south, I could feel energy watching me or watching over me… so I stopped. I looked up and there were two Eagles soaring above me. They were such a sight for my eyes to behold. I found myself mesmerized by the movement of these Eagles. As people walked by, they would notice me and then look up. They too became mesmerized by the eagle’s gliding movement. Up, around, down, and up again they soared, then they would move and glide in a circle. Reminded me of a hand glider. It was such a beautiful sight.

As I watched the eagles intently, I recalled a book I read many years ago entitled Seven Arrows, by Hyemeyohsts Storm. In his book he told the story of “Jumping Mouse”. The story began with Jumping Mouse greeting his friends and meeting new friends who became his spiritual guides along his life journey. Jumping Mouse was very fearful of all that was around him and rarely did he venture out from the trees and bushes that protected him. There was one thing that Jumping Mouse was concerned about which was a roaring sound in his ears. None of his friends heard it like he did. One day his new friend Racoon said that the roaring sound he heard was the sound of the ‘River’. Racoon urged Jumping Mouse to visit the ‘River’ and offered to guide him there. Jumping Mouse agreed and thought it was a good idea.

So off they went, along the way Jumping Mouse found himself startled and afraid of every movement around him especially those shadows from the birds flying above him. When Jumping Mouse and Racoon arrived at the ‘River’ they met a new friend ‘Frog’. ‘Frog’ sat on a Lilly pad and Jumping Mouse was very fearful that ‘Frog’ would fall in the water and drown. ‘Frog’ asked Jumping Mouse to come closer to the ‘River’ to see what he could see. When Jumping Mouse arrived at the edge of the ‘River’ he looked into the water and was startled to see a very ‘frightened mouse’ looking back at him. He was ashamed to be a ‘frightened mouse’.

Throughout his life Jumping Mouse had been fearful and afraid of everything new and challenging. He was timid and shy, this made him sad as he did not want to be. ‘Frog’ encouraged him to go on an adventure, to keep going and moving through the fear no mater what was there or appeared. Jumping Mouse decided to go on this adventure as he knew he needed to tackle his fears and anxieties. Hopefully he’d end up solving them. Jumping Mouse ventured out on this great adventure, it took him through the open desert, forests and finally back to the ‘River’. When he returned to the ‘River’, he felt different renewed and refreshed.

This time Frog asked Jumping Mouse to jump high in the air as he looked down at his refection in the ‘River’. Jumping Mouse leaped into the air, and as he looked down at his reflection. What do you think he saw looking back at him this time? He saw an Eagle soaring high in the air. Jumping Mouse was so excited as he knew he had conquered his fears and anxieties… now he was free as the Eagle to soar above them all. Frog wished him well and off Jumping Mouse flew to glide through the sky and ultimately his life!!!

I loved that story and today was a reminder of all that the Eagle totem symbolizes:

o   Strength

o   Inspiration

o   Expansion

o   Think Big

o   Victory

o   Vision

o   Manifestation

o   Mental pursuits

o   Spirituality

o   Dreams

It is said that Eagles show up in your path when you have set your sights on a goal or challenge and have manifested it. They are there to celebrate with you… For me 2021 into 2022 has been truly amazing with all the manifestations I have actualized. Today I was grateful to see two Eagles!

I will leave you with these thoughts…

1.       Don’t let your fears take over your life

2.       Allow yourself to soar and take risks

3.       Dream of the dream and manifest it

4.       Soar like the Eagle in your life, stay above what you fear

5.       Stay strong and as much as you can stay in the “Beginners Mind”

6.       Be wiling to step away from your fears and soar to new heights

7.       Do not let your negative mental models hold you back

8.       Manifest, Manifest, Manifest and Deliver results in your life

My books offer comforting insight into moving through your fears and worries. They are available on Amazon in paperback, Audible and Kindle formats. "It was ME all Along, the Path to FREEDOM"  and  "The Dolphin Lady, the Story of a Unique Relationship”  -
